Welcome from the Principal

Assalamu ‘alaikum.

There is no doubt that there is a widespread awakening and a desire amongst many Muslim brothers and sisters, young and old, to learn to read and understand the language of the Qur’an. After all it is a duty and an obligation upon us all to acquire knowledge. Allah ta’ala gives prominence to Arabic by virtue of it being the chosen language of the Holy Book. When the same language is recited with correct pronunciation, it gives untold pleasure - it adds beauty to the voice of the reciter and a melodious tune for the ears that affects the heart. When understood in meaning, it broadens the mind, feeds the soul and helps build a good strong character. This in turn brings about a change to lead, to inspire and influence. We, at SAIS, we aim to instigate this through providing education in a structured, professional way, creating an environment that makes learning enjoyable for our students.

Although the School was only established in October 2009, it has grown in numbers of students and teachers who have the right ijaazah and qualifications, enriching their teaching with references to the Qur’an and Sunnah. Our curriculum has been carefully developed by Scholars who have many years of experience and is constantly reviewed to ensure the best learning outcomes for our students. Our emphasis is on quality and the pursuit of excellence.

Social activities are also very much a feature of our School and we are looking to include other activities this year to build our community.

The path to learning is always strewn with obstacles and barriers. Your decision to start learning may not be an easy one and everything from your family through to your work commitments may stop you from achieving your aims. Remember, even one step towards learning is an act of worship and it will bring you closer to Allah and gain His pleasure.

You may conquer the world with bravery and might, but you will not take it with you to your grave. Yet, good beneficial knowledge will be your partner and your resultant actions which will determine your destiny. Let us pray to Allah ta’ala that we all remain steadfast in our endeavours, so that together, we will insha’Allah progress to new heights.
